# Use your own generation tools

> Use Rainbrand's guidance and assets with your existing models and generation tools.

The AI Gateway is optional. Your agents can use Rainbrand's brand guidance and assets with the generation tools you already have, including your own provider accounts, API keys, and credits.

## Where generation runs

Use the [AI Gateway](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/use-ai-gateway.md) when you want model access through Rainbrand without setting up separate model integrations. Use your own tools when you already have the models, credits, or generation pipeline you need.

## Generate with your own tools

Start with a [ready brand](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/create-brand.md) and agents that can access your generation tools.

**1. Request a Brief**

[Describe the task](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/request-brief.md) to get the brand guidance and assets your agents need.

**2. Pass it to your generation tools**

Give your tools the original task, the Brief's guidance, and its relevant assets, such as logos and reference images. Generation runs through your own tools and provider account.

**3. Check the result**

For images, [request a Review](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/request-review.md). Your agents can use the findings to revise the image with the same generation tools.

## Ask your agents

Replace Acme Inc. and the task with your own. Name the generation tool you want your agents to use.
